Egg Biryani

 
             Egg Biryani is a very delicious dish. Tastes awesome. Give it a try !! & share your experience.








 
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Rice, cooked with 3-4 black pepper, bayleaf, 2 cloves, very small cinnamon stick, few drops of oil & salt.
  • 3 peeled Boiled eggs & 2 peeled Boiled Potatoes
  • Browned sliced onions
  • 2 onions & 2 tomatoes chopped finely
  • 2 tsp Ginger - Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp Mutton Masala
  • Chopped mint leaves & coriander leaves
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Few strands of saffron soaked in 2 tbsp hot milk

Method:
  • Apply salt & turmeric to the boiled eggs & boiled potatoes. Shallow fry them in oil for couple of minutes until the color of the eggs & potatoes change to yellow from all sides.

  • Heat Oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds to it.
  • Add chopped onions to it. Fry till translucent.
  • Add ginger garlic paste to the onions.. Saute for minute.
  • Now add tomatoes, salt, red chili powder, garam masala, mutton masala & chopped mint & coriander leaves to it. Cover & cook it for 5 - 7 minutes or until the oil separates from the gravy. Don't let the moisture evaporate. Add little water if required.  Grind it into a fine paste.
  • Heat a tsp oil in the same pan & add this ground gravy paste. Cook for 4-5 minutes on medium flame. Add a little water if the gravy is too dry.
  • The gravy is ready. Keep it aside.

Serving:
  • Spread rice as base in a large bowl.
  • Spread gravy on it.
  • Now add Potatoes (half cut), eggs (cut into 2 pieces) & some browned sliced onions on it.
  • Add remaining rice on it. Above it remaining shallow fried onions & the saffron milk.
  • No need for extra garnishing!!
